Course Syllabus:

Week 1 of School (July 10 - 15)

Angels, Satan, and DemonsDr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum — This course covers all three categories of created spiritual beings: ANGELOLOGY: The Doctrine of the Elect Angels, SATANOLOGY: The Doctrine of Satan, and DEMONOLOGY: The Doctrine of Fallen Angels. The study covers their origin, nature, ranks and power; their purpose and function in Heaven, as well as their interaction with people and events on earth; their role in the Last Days, and their final destiny.

Messiah and the TabernacleJeffrey Gutterman — God chose the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to be a holy people to Him. After He redeemed them from slavery, He chose to dwell among them. The place where He met with them was in the Tabernacle that He commanded them to build in Exodus 25-30 and 35-40. This course will examine the historic Tabernacle and its unmistakable connection with the Messiah of Israel.


Week 2 of School (July 17 - 22)

Messiah and the TabernacleJeffrey Gutterman — God chose the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to be a holy people to Him. After He redeemed them from slavery, He chose to dwell among them. The Future of the Soul and The Place of the DeadDr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum — This course is a study of Personal Eschatology, which deals with the future of the soul. It belongs as part of the overall systematic theological framework of Eschatology, which is the Doctrine of Last Things. We will be discussing Personal Eschatology, which is the future of the soul and General Eschatology, which is The Future of The World. It is under General Eschatology that we will be concerned with such things as the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the Millennium, and the Eternal State.


Weeks 3 through 5 of School (July 24 - August 12)

Highlights of EzekielDr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum will lead you verse by verse through the Book of Ezekiel, uncovering the symbolism that is demonstrated in the prophecies and the visions of heaven. Some parts will be summarized and others taught in detail. Special emphasis will be given to the Messianic prophecies.

The Book of ActsSteven Ger — An exploration of Acts 1-15 from a Jewish perspective. Steven will explore key events in the founding, spread, and history of the early years of the Church which is especially relevant to the Messianic Movement. Other sections such as Acts 21 will also be dealt with.

Ecclesiology: The Doctrine of the ChurchMottel Baleston — A study on the universal and local church: its definition, leadership and how it differs from Israel. The role of Messianic congregations will also be discussed. NOTE: Ecclesiology is a two week class from July 25 to August 6 (weeks 3 and 4).

Israelology: The Doctrine of IsraelDr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum will address four approaches to the theology of Israel past, present, and future, and correct the beliefs that tend to confuse the identities of both Israel and the Church.

Design for Discipleship taught by our newest missionary, Michael Gabizon. Salvation requires a simple act of faith. Discipleship requires a total commitment. This course will teach you how to become a committed disciple of the Messiah. NOTE: Design for Discipleship is a one week class from August 8 to 13 (week 5).

The Highlights of the Life of the MessiahDr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum — Mandatory for First Timers. This study will cover the highlights of the life of Messiah from a Jewish perspective. The complete study will be taught during the sixth week.


Week 6 of School (August 14 - 19)

The Life of the MessiahDr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum — The week 6 study is the in depth study of the Life of Messiah. From a Jewish perspective, it portrays Yeshua in His proper Jewish context as the Savior of the world and the waiting King of the Jews.


Program

In response to the suggestions of many returnees to the program, in addition to the ongoing three week program, we are including two one-week programs for those who wish to complete a course all in one week. This opportunity will be available on the first, second, and sixth week. You may attend for 1 to 6 weeks depending on your schedule and students are encouraged to attend all six weeks of the program if their schedule allows.

The Program Breakdown is as Follows:

Classes begin on Monday morning and end on Friday evening. The first two weeks, the program runs for four hours per day and the remaining four weeks, for five hours per day. The structure of the program will be four, hour long classes each day for both the two and three week programs. The three week program has a fifth session for firsttime attendees: The highlights of the Life of Messiah which runs for seventyfive minutes each day. The sixth week program will also run for five hours a day.

Program BrochureA youth program is provided during the adult sessions. We have designed our schedule for the maximum teaching time during the day, while allowing ample time for fun and fellowship. The afternoons and weekends allow plenty of free time for worship, fellowship, hiking and recreation at Trout Pond, as well as various other activities located nearby.

Each Friday evening we have a special Shabbat dinner. Saturday is a free day for campers who will continue their study and a departure day for those who are leaving. Sunday mornings, we gather for a time of worship led by Ariel staff members and students. If you play a musical instrument, please bring it along to share with us. Saturday and Sunday evenings are reserved for lakeside cookouts with music, dance, and fellowship.

Children and Youth (Ages 2-17):

Serious Bible education is required for our youth. While opportunities for good fun abound, first and foremost the Shoshanah facility is a Discipleship Program. During adult classes, we will conduct Bible teaching and recreation program for children ages 2-17. Topics will mirror the adult program topics. We regret that pending completion of the Dining Hall, no children under 2 can be taken care of. You are welcome to bring a babysitter for them.

Accommodations:

Accommodations include cabins for married couples and families; separate dorms for single men and single women, and camp grounds (tent, camper, or RV). All accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, giving early registrants preference regarding dates of attendance. You may also commute from one of the local motels (contact Ariel for a list). Pets are NOT permitted.

Meals at Facility:

Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Saturday - Saturday. Please Note: Attendees are not permitted to prepare their own meals nor is food allowed in the cabins, nor use the kitchen facilities for any purpose. A refrigerator is provided in the dining hall for those attendees who have special needs, such as insulin storage, etc.

Medication Storage:

Any medicines that will be stored in the refrigerator in the Dining Hall designated “Student Fridge” MUST be put in a covered plastic box and CLEARLY labeled.
