In a general sense, this tour allows us to reenact the journey of the twelve spies: ...see the land, what it is; and the people that dwell therein... (Numbers 13:18). More specifically,
it will illuminate your understanding of the Old Testament and the Gospels through (1) examining the geography of Israel in relation to biblical events and themes and (2) studying Jewish history,
especially the history of the State of Israel.
Israel: $4,995
If you are not coming from North America, you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from Israel. Furthermore, you may deduct $1,200 from the cost.
The 2013 Israel Study Tour is conducted and managed by Dr. Arnold G. Fruchtenbaum independently of Ariel Ministries.
Introduction
This study tour is an overview of the land of Israel from a biblical, historical, and geographical
perspective. The study group is limited to 25 participants, which increases accessibility to the various locations, and provides an intimate group setting. You will see everything that the
typical tourist sees and much more.
The group travels six to seven days per week. Free days may be used by tour members as
they please. The tour can be rigorous at times. You should be prepared for some long — very rewarding — travel days. Large air-conditioned buses could not possibly “fit” into
many of the places we visit. Therefore, we use vans, which are small enough to go everywhere.
At the end of each travel day, the tour group meets for a one-hour review session. Each evening Dr. Fruchtenbaum will give a one-hour lecture on historical geography and Jewish history, and reading
is assigned for the next day. This journey is, indeed, a study tour and, as such, will demand more of you than most such trips. Study is truly an integral part of your participation. If you are interested
in sight-seeing only, this tour is not recommended. Those, however, who give full participation will be greatly rewarded with a wealth of knowledge that is life changing.
The tour is purposely designed for the students to experience the people's Israel. As such, accommodations will be in both kibbutz settlements and hotels. Dr. Fruchtenbaum surprises every tour
with unique experiences that will give you a greater insight to the life of the Israeli.
Leader and Guide
Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum is a leading Messianic Jewish scholar. Because of his expertise on the Scriptures and the Nation of Israel, he is in great demand as a conference speaker and tour guide.
Dr. Fruchtenbaum is also the Founder and Director of Ariel Ministries, which is dedicated to the principles of evangelism and discipleship of Jewish people.
Conditions
Tour participants should always keep the tour goals in mind and prepare accordingly. Setting different personal goals and expectations will only cause disappointment and adversely affect the group.
If you cannot agree to these goals, then it would be wise to choose another tour. Participants must be at least 18 years old; children are not permitted to attend. Couples need to make certain that
both partners are totally interested in a study-tour of this nature. Only those who are truly committed to such a trip should apply. Those with serious health problems (i.e. heart trouble, kidney
disease, etc.) should not attempt this kind of trip. If you are taking medication, be sure to bring enough for the duration of the tour. |
